Important Changes That May Impact Your Insurance Coverage

Image Blog Details

Dear valued patients,

I hope this letter finds you doing well. We appreciate your trust in our healthcare services and want to keep you informed about important changes that may impact your insurance coverage.

After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that as of March 31, 2024, Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma, LLC along with our servicing provider, Comanche County Memorial Hospital, will no longer be accepting UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Medicare Advantage plans, whether it is an HMO or PPO plan. This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the importance of access to quality healthcare. This means that we will not be able to provide your Oncology/Hematology healthcare needs after March 31, 2024

We want to assure you that we remain committed to providing excellent care to all our patients. If you are currently enrolled in a UHC Medicare Advantage plan, we recommend exploring alternative insurance options to ensure uninterrupted access to our services. We are currently in network with the Humana PPO plans and BCBS Medicare Advantage Plan PPO. We accept Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans but we are considered out of network with the Aetna plans. However, there are numerous Medicare supplement plans we can and do recommend that will allow us to continue with your care.

We understand that this change may raise questions, and we are here to support you through the process. Please feel free to contact our office at 580-536-2121 and ask to speak to one of our financial counselors if you have any questions or need assistance with finding an alternative insurance plan that best suits your healthcare needs. If you choose not to switch from your UHC Medicare Advantage plan by the end of March 2024, CCSO would need to begin working on transferring your care to the facility of your choice immediately.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in our practice. We value your relationship and look forward to serving your healthcare needs in the future.

Sincerely,

Lane Hooton
