Dr. Najera attended medical school at the Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico, graduating cum laude in 2006. His Internal Medicine Residency (2010) was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas and his Medical Oncology/Hematology fellowship (June 30, 2013) is from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, Florida, where he was appointed as the Chief Hematology/Oncology Fellow for this last year.
He has been practicing with the Cancer Centers since July 2013. He is Board Certified is Hematology, Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Najera is the Principal Research Investigator for clinical trials at the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma. He is the current President of the Oklahoma Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Najera treats patients at the Duncan and Lawton facilities.
He and his wife have two small children at home. When he is not hard at work, Dr. Najera enjoys sports, specifically soccer and football. His favorite team to root for is the Buffalo Bills.
