Phlebotomist - CCSO Medical Oncology

DEFINITION:

Performs venipuncture and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in lab as needed. Responsibilities include blood cultures and blood samples.

EDUCATION:

• High School graduate,equivalent or higher.
• Completion of a vocational training course in phlebotomy or previous phlebotomy experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Phlebotomy certification
• Basic computer knowledge.
