What do donations to the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma help fund?

• Transportation
  On average, 3,000 patient visits occur via our volunteer drivers each year. Our transportation costs run anywhere from $30K-40K annually depending on whether we have to replace a vehicle and the price of gas. We maintain 8 vehicles for patient transportation in Lawton, Duncan, and Altus.
• Patient Assistance
  Patient assistance is anything from medication assistance to medical care assistance to food/utility assistance. We really do everything we can to make sure our patients get the treatment they need. In total, we typically provide charity assistance of well over a million dollars a year for patients.
  
• Cancer Screenings
  Throughout the year, we offer free cancer screenings to the public. Our organizations absorbs all the costs for staff, food, advertising, testing supplies, lab costs, and physician charges. Each screening on average costs us $7-8K.
